Considering how easy it is to get into a routine of ask-ask-ask from God (and I’m certain He doesn’t mind us coming to Him at all), today’s a good opportunity to take a moment to shut my ask-hole and to just thank Him for the things in my life. It’s not all candy and farts right now, tbh, but I think in light of that, it’s still the perfect time to say how much I appreciate all He has done and all that He’s still doing, even without my realizing or noticing. So…
- Thank you for allowing me to wake up this morning in an active, healthy state of mind –
- Thank you for a protected and refreshing night’s sleep –
- Thank you for a warm bed and home in which to refresh body, mind, and soul –
- Thank you for the blessing of provisions, from food to hot water to intact clothing to a well-paying job to loving family to devoted friends, and everything around and in-between –
- Thank you for an incredibly appropriate word from You for today, to refresh and reinvigorate my spirit –
- Thank you for warmer temperatures, even if only for a few hours/a day, and some much needed sunshine and Vitamin D –
- Thank you for being there for me always, and for your faithfulness to see me through every circumstance –
- And thank you for the opportunity to take advantage of such a beautiful day and get out and be renewed with something as simple as a neighborhood walk –
This list by no means even scratches the surface of everything for which I have to be thankful; but at the very least I felt the need to acknowledge my appreciation for and towards my Pop. Thank you so very much – I am truly favored.
