It’s Friday night, ya got no plans, so what can you do? Oh I know, let’s break some chit!
“My eye!!” Thanks to the braniacs at Hyundai, and the Lord blessing me with non-baby hands, I have to remove the whole headlight assembly to replace the bulbs. Tonight’s feat – LED conversion! (At the end of this I’ll either be the goat or the G.O.A.T.)Headlight assembly removed successfully; or, greatest mistake of the weekend…Success!! It’s a bit difficult to see the difference thanks to trying to take a picture of pure and direct light, but topside are the halogen bulbs and bottom row the LEDs. On the road the LEDs (bottom) seem crisper and a cooler color than the halogens (top).
Overall I’m happy with the progress; although I may do some adjustments on the output angle and definitely need to look into the cause of a temporary dimming of one of the bulbs during a post-install drive (ugh, assembly removal part 2 😩). (Hey, as long as at the end of the day it still drives and lights still work, 🎲 – roll ’em!)
