A fond farewell…

I always knew the day would come – the day I’d bid a fond farewell to my reliable first mate, the very first gear that would initiate and solidify my interest in photography.  I’ve traveled many miles with the D5000, from waterfalls to monuments, and taken many a horrid photo as I have a decent one; but now as my knowledge in this hobby has expanded, so must the capabilities of my equipment.  So today, I say goodbye to a great camera, a camera that has helped me learn a lot about the “do”s and “don’t do”s, the “when”s and “not now”s, and the “quickly”s and “slow things down”s.  You’ve left your mark and served me well – go and make your mark on the next welcoming life. 🙂
